In 2016, friends Jonathan Reed and Rodney Aguiar set about working on a small request made by a handful of Reed’s clients. What started as a seemingly simple task quickly evolved into a collaboration that grew into a one-of-a-kind business. Reed and Aguiar invested hundreds upon hundreds of hours into their passion for crafting precision motorcycle components. It took long days and nights of the Southern California summer, but at the end they had founded Ride Nice, a unique collaboration for high-end motorcycle products.
Reed and Aguiar have worked together on their shared goal for precision components for the past seven years: while Reed worked at the metal finishing company Sport Chrome managing the account of Roland Sands Design (RSD) and handling the metal finishing needs for RSD’s custom motorcycle projects, Aguiar was the architect for bikes & products at RSD. Together they have worked on some of the most iconic custom motorcycles in the world for clients like Mickey Rourke and for companies including BMW, KTM & Ducati.
The extreme conditions through which their past work was forged helped create a relationship between Reed and Aguiar, one dedicated to achieving their mutual goals of quality, accountability and innovation.
